Key Summit Track begins at The Divide car park and follows the Routeburn Track before climbing to alpine wetlands and broad Fiordland views. It is a half-day mountain walk rather than a roadside lookout, and conditions above the bushline can be cold, wet or wind-affected. Check DOC alerts and road conditions, carry waterproof and warm layers, and turn back when visibility or weather removes the safety margin.
