Rakiura Track is a three-day Great Walk through coastal forest, beaches and historic sites on Stewart Island / Rakiura. Huts and campsites require planning and seasonal booking, and sections can remain muddy in settled weather. Check DOC alerts and transport, carry full overnight equipment and clean footwear and gear before entering the national park.
